Return & Refunds

If you are the original retail purchaser of the Aluma Connect product (the “Product”) and you are not satisfied with this Product for any reason, you may return the Product purchased in the original transaction, in its original condition, with the original receipt and packaging, within thirty (30) days of the date of original purchase and Aluma International, Ltd. (“Aluma Connect” or “Aluma”) will exchange it or provide a full refund of the original purchase price. You will need to contact us prior to returning the order to receive the proper return instructions.

Only items that have been purchased directly from Aluma Connect online can be returned to Aluma Connect.

Aluma Connect Products purchased through other retailers must be returned in accordance with their respective returns and refunds policy. If you have purchased the Product from one of Aluma’s retail partners, please contact them directly to arrange an exchange or refund.

If you wish to cancel your order, or if you would like to schedule a return, contact us by e-mail at Info@alumaconnect.com with your order details. Once you have submitted your request, you will be contacted with your Return Merchandise Authorization number and instructions on how to return your Product. You may wish to use a package-shipping service such as UPS, Federal Express or the United States Postal Service that is able to track shipments. Aluma is not responsible for shipping costs associated with the return of the order.

Once the return has been processed, a confirmation message will be sent out with information on the status of the return, including whether or when a refund, repaired Product or replacement Product should be expected.

This is in addition to your legal rights and your rights under the Aluma Connect one (1) year Limited Warranty referred to below.

 

Aluma Connect Limited Warranty

BY USING YOUR ALUMA CONNECT PRODUCT YOU ARE AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THE ALUMA CONNECT ONE (1) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY (“WARRANTY”) AS SET OUT BELOW. DO NOT USE YOUR PRODUCT UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THE TERMS OF THE WARRANTY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THE WARRANTY, DO NOT USE THE PRODUCT AND RETURN IT WITHIN THE RETURN PERIOD AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALUMA’S RETURN POLICY.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER LEGAL RIGHTS THAT VARY BY STATE, COUNTRY, OR PROVINCE. THE DISCLAIMERS, EXCLUSIONS, AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY WILL NOT APPLY TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW. FOR A FULL DESCRIPTION OF YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS YOU SHOULD REFER TO THE LAWS APPLICABLE IN YOUR STATE, COUNTRY, OR PROVINCE.

Aluma’s warranty obligations for this hardware Product are limited to the terms set forth below:

Aluma warrants that your Aluma Connect product (“Product”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery to the original retail purchaser (the “Warranty Period”). If a defect in the Product arises within the Warranty Period, Aluma will, at its sole option and subject to applicable laws: (a) repair the Product with a new or refurbished Product or component; (b) replace the Product with a new or refurbished Product, or (c) refund the original purchase price upon return of the Product.  A replacement Product assumes the remaining warranty period of the original Product or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage for you. When a Product is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes Aluma’s property. When a refund is given, the Product for which the refund is provided must be returned to Aluma and becomes Aluma’s property.

This Warranty applies only to hardware Products manufactured by or for Aluma and that can be identified by the “Aluma Connect” trade name, or logo affixed to them. This Warranty does not apply: (i) to consumable parts, such as batteries, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship of the Product itself; (ii) to cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports; (iii) defects or damage caused by misuse, accident (including, without limitation, collision, fire and the spillage of food or liquid), neglect, abuse, alteration, unusual stress, modification, improper or unauthorized repair, installation, testing, improper storage or other causes beyond Aluma’s reasonable control; (iv) to damage caused by operating the Product outside the permitted or intended uses described by Aluma; (v) to damage caused by operating the Product where the instructions for use and activation of the Product are not complied with; and (vi) to damage caused by use with non-Aluma products.

This Warranty does not apply to any software, even if packaged or sold with Aluma hardware. Aluma does not warrant that the operation of the Product will be uninterrupted or error-free.

This Warranty applies only to Aluma products purchased by retail purchasers and end users from Aluma and its authorized resellers. This Warranty is void for purchases made from any other reseller, including any unauthorized reseller, and Aluma offers no warranty for such purchases.

ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE APPLICABLE EXPRESS WARRANTY. ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED CONDITIONS, REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, ARE DISCLAIMED. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary by jurisdiction.

 

Return and Claim Instructions

Claims Process: To obtain Warranty service for any Product that is subject to the foregoing Warranty, the original retail purchaser (Consumer) must notify Aluma to obtain a Return Material Authorization (“RMA”) and return the Product together with proof of purchase to the address specified by Aluma in connection with the RMA. Aluma must receive the Consumer’s claim before the end of the Warranty Period. Consumer shall bear the cost of shipping the Product to Aluma. By sending the Product, Consumer agrees to transfer ownership of the Product to Aluma. Aluma may not return the original Product to Consumer. Aluma warrants that any repaired or replaced Product is covered for the remainder of the original Warranty Period of the original Product or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage for you/Consumer. If the claim is justified based on this Warranty, Aluma shall bear the cost of shipping the repaired or replacement Product to the Consumer. Any product returned to Aluma without a valid Warranty claim or without a RMA may be rejected, returned at sender’s cost (subject to prepayment) or disposed of in Aluma’s sole discretion. For any Product returned to Aluma for reasons other than a valid Warranty claim, a 15% restocking fee and round-trip shipping costs may be deducted from any applicable credit refund.
